Range and Match News A motion was approved at the February meeting to obtain $1,200.00 to cover some of the expenses for the smallbore silhouette regional match, coming up on March 18. This was a follow-up vote, to approve the motion that was originally submitted at the January meeting. (As required by our bylaws, all expenditures exceeding $1,000.00 must be approved at one meeting and confirmed at a follow-up meeting.) Also, Youth Program coordinator Chuck Anderson made a motion to purchase $33.00 worth of student and teacher handbooks for the youth program. The motion was approved. In addition, James Squires made a motion to spend $350.00 for another set of half-scale smallbore rifle silhouette animals. This motion was also approved. In other range news, it was reported that the dirt work on lower range 4 has been completed. Finally, Frank Bray reported on the SHOT Show, held last week in Las Vegas. Frank attended the show along with George Rhode and Hugh Burnett, and they worked to obtain sponsors for this September's Arkansas State Smallbore Rifle Silhouette Championship. They report that there will be many items donated by the sponsors.
